Thunder Ridge Motorcycle Club came together to create a brand-new hillclimb facility in Neoga, on the land started in late 2015, after it was confirmed that the 2016 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship would be held there - the first time the national championship had been held in Illinois since 1988!  Countless hours of labor by club members, as well as family, friends, and neighbors, transformed several acres of raw land along Long Point Creek into a truly national-caliber hillclimb facility.  The first events were held here in June of 2016 - kind of a shake-down run to make sure we were ready for the national championship...and we had an incredible turnout of riders to support our new facility - nearly twice what typical AMA District 17 events usually get!

We're proud to say that the 2016 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship was a great success - we hosted hundreds of riders from all across the country and a fantastic time was had by all.  The momentum created by that event, we hope, will reinvigorate the sport of hillclimb in Illinois, not only here but for our neighbors at Central Illinois M/C, also in Neoga (pretty much right across the road), and everywhere else too!

The TRMC membership is comprised of veteran hillclimbers from the area, with some friends and family too.  We may be a new club, but the experience in the sport and expertise in hosting events runs deep...decades-long in many cases.  Virtually everyone in the club has been seriously involved in hillclimb for most, if not all of their lives.  We are dedicated to supporting and promoting the sport, and helping to grow it once more.

If you have any questions about TRMC or our events, please don't hesitate to contact us.  And by all means come on out and see one of our thrilling events, at the only hillclimb facility in the world where spectators can see the entire ~350 foot course side-on, from start to finish!  We'll be glad to see you, and we're sure you'll have a great time!
